- IPS Financial Specialist – SFIA Level 4 (FMIT4)
- Contract Term: Initial 12 Months contract + up to 2 x 12 months extension option
- Canberra City – AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance is required
About the Role
Our client has a requirement for Financial Specialist to support the delivery of ICT infrastructure projects on behalf of Defence. These projects are largely delivered by external industry partners, with IPS providing oversight, governance and facilitation to ensure the right outcomes are delivered for Defence customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly conduct Financial Analysis of Infrastructure Project Services (IPS) activities including Project Budgets, Forecasting and Cash Flows;
- Prepare Financial Documents such as Actuals and Commitments Reports for Service Delivery Managers;
- Assist Service Delivery Managers with their Financial Reporting obligations;
- Undertake Financial Auditing of Projects using Project Central downloads versus Cash Flow Reports;
- Manage allocated resources, setting work area priorities, workflows, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes;
- Analyse very complex financial reporting issues, applying expertise to design, recommend and implement solutions;
- Plan, manage and report on financial governance requirements and compliance with the financial management framework;
- Translate financial management strategy into operational goals and create a shared sense of purpose within the business unit;
- Anticipate changes, evaluate and interrogate financial data to ensure the accuracy of financial information in reports and systems;
- Accountable to perform and achieve very complex financial reporting work within an integrated workforce;
- Identify and Manage Assets Under Construction Balances; and
- Provide Financial Training to IPS Staff.
Skills and Experience
- Proficiency with SAP, ROMAN, MyFi, MyProcurement, Project Central, Power BI, Budget Outcomes. Strong MS Excel skills
