Our Federal Government Agency which supports a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. Is seeking to engage in an EL2 Program Manager for a 12-month assignment with potential extension in ADELAIDE CBD.
About the Team
The Scheme Payments Transformation Branch is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of projects that enhance claims, payments, and financial processes, along with improvements to data integrity, payments assurance, and compliance.
The Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects across the Scheme Payments Transformation Branch, this includes monitoring progress, allocating resources, ensuring adherence to processes and standards. In addition to program management responsibilities, the PMO oversees high level Executive support and facilitates communication between stakeholders.
About the Role
The EL2 Program Manager (Labour Hire) is accountable under broad direction to undertake work with a high level of complexity or sensitivity that delivers quality outcomes across the project management functions of the Agency.
The position will exercise a significant degree of independence and will use a high-level of decision-making and judgement. The role will be required to coordinate and assume responsibility for highly complex or sensitive projects and work program outcomes across the functions that have strategic or operational significance to the Agency.
The EL2 Program Manager (Labour Hire) is responsible for initiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Where required, it will represent and negotiate on behalf of the Agency to advance the Agency's interests in cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional and other forums.

- Tertiary or post-graduate qualification project management, change management and/or relevant industry experience is highly desirable.
- Managing and further developing the PMO to bring a high-quality project delivery framework to the program.
- Developing and implementing program and project plans, governance arrangements and operational integration in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
- Ensuring program and project deliverables and milestones are met while reporting on project outputs/outcomes to stakeholders.
- Preparing and reviewing written material including business cases, plans, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Identifying, assessing, managing, escalating, and monitoring program and project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategies.
- Analysing project performance, setting strategic direction and priorities to coordinate quality management activities to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose.
- Developing and delivering optimisation initiatives to support service improvement and performance in line with strategic objectives.
- Applying expertise in recognised frameworks and methodologies including Prince2 and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Undertaking the fiscal management of the program including program budgeting, staff resourcing and management.
- Developing, implementing and managing a learning and development curriculum for program and project management and related capabilities, in alignment with the Agency's project management and learning and development frameworks.
It is highly desirable that the successful applicant understand or lived experience in the field of disability.

- EL2 $754.20 per day + super
- Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend
- Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm - 7 & ½ hour days 5 days a week.
