The SAPOL Firearms Program (SAFP) comprises a set of technical and business focused projects which aims to improve SAPOL and community safety. The program will digitise firearm related services to the community and implement a new firearm registry to support SAPOLs Firearms Branch (FAB). The program will collaborate with other state, territory and commonwealth law enforcement jurisdictions as part of national efforts to standardise firearms information and improve access to firearms information for law enforcement jurisdictions nationwide, through the implementation of a National Firearms Register (NFR).
Your new role
The SAPOL Firearms Program Change Manager is responsible for leading and managing the establishment and delivery of change management activities across the SAPOL Firearms Program within the Business system portfolio. This includes working closely with individuals and teams across SAPOL to prepare and support them with business changes associated with implementation of new or improved systems, technology and processes that support the delivery of firearms services to the community. The role will work collaboratively with IS&T staff to ensure successful project planning and implementation.
