About the Role
MinRes is a globally significant lithium producer with world-class assets. These include two of the world's largest hard-rock lithium mines, Mt Marion and Wodgina, as well as our recently acquired Bald Hill operation.
Reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Superintendent and working on an 8:6 roster, you will provide engineering support for maintenance teams within the processing plant at our Wodgina mine in Western Australia. This role aims to enhance equipment reliability and performance to ensure operational targets are met.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components with a focus on safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.
- Preparing and maintaining Electrical Engineering documentation and reports to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing the installation of new electrical equipment and systems, ensuring seamless integration with overall plant operations.
- Applying Electrical Engineering principles to analyse and enhance the performance of plant electrical systems.
- Developing strategies for predictive and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and improve overall efficiency.
- Promoting safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and implementing preventative measures to mitigate electrical hazards.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Our ideal candidate will have an Electrical Engineering background in the mining sector, including experience with plant reliability processes within operational processing plants.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia).
- Proficient in electrical design software and tools.
- A working knowledge of Australian electrical standards and mining safety regulations.
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence.
