Megavar Power Engineering is a provider of engineering services to the high voltage (HV) power industry.
Megavar’s portfolio of services includes design, commissioning, asset management, engineering consulting, condition monitoring, asset maintenance and equipment rentals. We also offer turnkey HV solutions using a variety of partner organisations for the aspects of business we choose not to do.
The position
We are seeking applications from Electrical Engineers or diploma qualified professionals to join our team working on HV electrical installations, power stations, switchyards and substations. There are also positions available for HV distribution design.

Qualifications required
- Essential- Certificate IV or Diploma in relevant discipline
- Desirable- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Skills and experience required
- 3+ years electrical engineering experience
- Proven skills in protection and control, SCADA/automation, earthing and substation design, or HV distribution design will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of computer software packages for engineering design
- Familiarity with design quality assurance systems and procedures
- Skills and experience to communicate, present and negotiate including preparation of high-quality documents and reports
- High level problem solving and analytical skills
- Organisational and planning skills
- Advanced computer literacy
- Must hold a current Driver’s Licence
