Purpose of the Position
GBSC Yurra is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This is a Karratha based role; however, FIFO (ex-Perth) will be considered for the right candidate. Travel to the Pilbara will be required on occasion.
As an Electrical Estimator we are looking for someone who has the ability to:
• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates/quotations for building/electrical projects.
• Negotiate and maintain good rapport with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify, analyse, and provide innovative solutions to cost-estimating problems.
• Able to identify and cost key project risks.
• Negotiate clear project scope of works and documentation.
• Liaise with key stakeholders throughout costing process.
• Submission of pre-project work
• Compiling of MDR during the project for handover at completion of project.
• Procure materials directly from estimating notes.
• Price checking against other suppliers for the best prices.
• Ensuring stock levels for the larger projects are maintained.
To be successful, you will have:
• Knowledge on where Electrical and Mechanical install slots in with other trades
• Relevant Trade Certificates
• WA Electrical License
• Current construction induction card (white card)
• Relevant tertiary education/degree
• High level of computer literacy
• High analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skillset
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Current WA C-Class drivers’ licence
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• Experience with Cubit Estimating Pro, Procore, Simpro and Sharepoint is highly desirable.
• Previous Project Management experience (desirable)
• Proficient English language skills
