Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Electrical Field Service Officer will be responsible for all aspects of operating and maintaining gas and diesel fired power generation equipment at various remote Power Stations in the West Kimberley (WKPP).

This position is in Broome, working a 2 and 2 roster (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off). You will work at various power station sites in the West Kimberley, travelling to remote locations and working autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure effective operation of EDL's power stations to supply power to remote communities

Operate and maintain gas and diesel power generation equipment

Operate and maintain instrumentation and process control systems

Perform regular inspection and maintenance of site equipment to a high standard

Carry out routine housekeeping duties

Maintain spares and equipment for all sites

Comply with EDL policy and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

WA Electrical Workers Licence - Trade or Certificate qualifications (essential)

Current Driver's Licence (essential)

Sound mechanical aptitude and communication skills

Ability to work autonomously in remote locations

Experience in electricity supply and generation (highly regarded)

HV Switching & Permits (desirable)

EEHA, Instrumentation, and Supervised Gas Fitting (desirable)

Forklift (telehandler), Working at Heights, EWP, Basic Rigging Tickets (desirable)
