ELECTRICAL FIELD TECHNICIAN REQUIRED
Your new company - HAYS has partnered with one of Australia's biggest industrial companies, which has been the largest leading industrial company for the last 30 years. They would like to expand their team as they have major projects coming to a start in the new year.
Your new role - The purpose of this role is to carry out electrical works as required by the Projects Department, relevant to all pump stations and control systems. The core responsibilities include electrical fit-off of projects onsite and in factories, conducting factory tests on switchboards, installation of electrical components on site, conducting Site Acceptance Tests, problem-solving and troubleshooting electrical issues and leading the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across our various sites. Responding to faults and services issues, mentoring and supervising new apprentices and assisting mechanical/civil staff if required to maintain targets are on track.
What you'll need to succeed -
- A grade electrical license
- Drivers licnese
- Exposure to instruments and instrument controls
- Industrial and commercial experience
- Switchboard designs and installation experience
- SWIMS, JSAS hazard reporting
- Great communication skills
- Good understanding of P&IDs and drawings
- Comfortable travelling and working 10-hour days
