The day to day
Due to internal progression, ALS on Brisbane's north is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team. This position would suit a person who has an electrical licence and is also willing and able to turn their hand to other maintenance tasks that can be found in a busy analytical laboratory.
The successful applicant will be given on the job training in routine maintenance of ALS equipment to ensure they fully understand the task and comply with ALS HSE policies at all times. A high level of communication will be required in this role, as any delays with equipment downtimes must be communicated promptly to the Laboratory Manager. This role allows the employee to meet the requirements for electrical work for multiple sites whilst also expanding their skill base into the maintenance and/or repairs of all equipment on site.
The Essentials
- Must have a current electrical workers licence
- Electrical Instrument and Control qualifications and experience highly regarded
- Industrial maintenance and installation experience preferred
- Experience in data installation highly regarded
- Current manual drivers' license
- The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, whilst being committed to teamwork
- The ability and willingness to supervise an apprentice
- Experience in coordination of daily maintenance tasks
- Excellent work ethic
- Proven ability to handle a diverse workload
- Electronic experience an advantage
- Flexibility and ability to travel as required
