About the roleWe are seeking a qualified Electronics Technicians to join our Edwardstown team in South Australia on a permanent full-time basis. You will be working metro from the office, and at other Radlink premises across Australia or customer sites, as required in a FIFO/DIDO capacity. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of project roll outs, providing technical support to customers, and the delivery of preventative maintenance tasks. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Is part of the On-Call roster and is capable of completing on-call duties with limited direction
- Ensure all tasks assigned by the leading hand are completed in a timely fashion
- Prepare quotes for own service work
- Competently carry our service restorations
- Implements appropriate service restoration actions and escalates technical issues to senior technical staff or management as required
- Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance activities and project works as necessary
- Assist with commissioning new communications systems.
To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates who can bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Certificate III in Electronics and Communication or similar trade qualifications in Communications Technician, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with maintaining telecommunication equipment
- Familiar with Internet Protocol (IP) networking
- Good experience with antenna systems and multi-coupling systems
- Good experience with digital (TETRA, P25, DMR), analogue radio systems and microwave links
- Ability to fault find to a component level
- Ability to read complex circuit diagrams
- Sound interpersonal skills and able to effectively liaise with others
- Able to work well alone without supervision or as part of a team.
