Emergency & Administration Department Clerk - Permanent Fulltime 76hrs/fortnight
THE EMERGNCY DEPARTMENT RECEPTION IS STAFFED 24 HOURS PER DAY - 7 DAYS PER WEEK. Successful applicant must be available for ALL shifts across the 24-hr period.
About the role
An enthusiastic and motivated person is required for our busy Emergency/Administration Department Reception.
For this position you must be passionate about being in the front line dealing with the public and enjoy a varied and fast paced administration role. The successful applicant would be to be flexible and have strong interpersonal and time management skills.
About you
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated one year experience in a medical administrative role
- Demonstrated excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and maintain good working relationships with others
- Proven ability to work night shifts
- Proven ability to work autonomously without supervision
- Experience in data entry, with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm
- Exceptional organisation skills and a high attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Experience with medical billing and receipting
- A Medical Terminology Certificate or proof of recent in house use of same would be advantageous
- Experience in hospital patient management systems (Meditech, Medtech, MS Office) would be desirable
- Previous Ward Clerk or health services experience would be desirable
On offer is an hourly rate from $26.52 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications.
