Practice Manager / Medical Administration Officer – Mater Private Hospital Emergency Care Clinic (MECC)

Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for an experienced Practice Manager/Medical Administration Officer to join our team in a dynamic Emergency Clinic environment. As a key player in this role, your responsibility will be spearheading the day-to-day operations of Caduceus and the medical practitioners and contribute to the clinic’s business development and growth.
You will report directly to the Director of Emergency and the CEO of Caduceus. Some of the responsibilities include but not limited to;
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- People Management – Support and collaborate with the administrative team. Assist with performance reviews. Someone who fosters collaboration and can lead change.
- Operational Management – implementation of efficient processes and procedures. Proficient use of technology and practice management software. Rostering, recruitment and onboarding Medical Practitioners.
- Stakeholder Management – doctors, referrers, shared services team, VMO teams and Work cover.
- Financial Management – pricing, billing, payroll, procurement, monthly reporting, KPIs
- Business Development – budgeting, practice growth initiatives, business development, GP and VMO relationship engagement.
About you:
- Qualifications in in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or medical practice management, preferably in a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using practice management software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and work well under pressure.
- Understanding of medical billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
- Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.
Job Type: Full Time/Prefer 4 Day week (flexible with days/times)
Expected hours: approx. 32 hours/week
