The Employee Relations Advisor will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice and guidance on Employee Relations matters, fostering positive workplace relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
Job Description
- Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on a wide range of Employee Relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, and workplace investigations.
- Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to promote positive Employee Relations and a culture of respect and collaboration.
- Advise on the interpretation and application of employment legislation, industrial agreements, and company policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to resolve complex Employee Relations issues and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for managers and employees on relevant Employee Relations topics and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Employee Relations matters, ensuring confidentiality and data privacy compliance.
- Proven experience in an Employee Relations role, preferably within a retail or similar fast-paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, and contemporary HR practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage complex and sensitive situations with discretion and integrity.
