About the role
As an Employment Lawyer you will be involved in a diverse range of matters that require you to provide strategic advice to business executives, HR Professionals, Local Governments and regulatory bodies.
You will:
- Provide advice regarding State and Federal employment and industrial laws, common law claims and restraint of trade.
- Appear on behalf of clients in Federal and State Commission matters.
- Provide advice on and draft employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, employment policies.
- Provide advice regarding employee performance and conduct matters.
- Deliver training and presentations to clients.
- Provide practical and cost-effective advice.

Skills and experience
- Have at least 2 years post admission experience advising clients on employment related legal issues.
- Strong technical knowledge of employment legislation (modern awards, applicable Acts).
- Ability to use your initiative to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
