The Client

The Role
Seeking both an Associate (2 - 5 Years PAE) and a Senior Associate (5+Years PAE), to provide essential legal services to new and existing clients, including:
Guiding major unions and professional associations through bargaining, secret ballots and industrial action;
Addressing Fair Work Act contravention claims, including general protection litigation and NES, Award and EBA contraventions;
Advocating for clients in industrial disputes;
Providing expert advice on employment contract disputes, professional misconduct matters and restraint of trade and confidentiality issues;
Handling unfair and unlawful termination claims, as well as related termination and redundancy matters;
Addressing discrimination and sexual harassment claims; and
Offering guidance on union right of entry matters.
About You
The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in employment law and / or commercial litigation, with experience in assisting on large, complex cases.
Proven expertise in employment law and / or commercial litigation;
Strong understanding of industrial relations and employment law issues;
Dedication and excellent drafting, advisory and advocacy skills; and
Ability to undertake arbitrations, conciliation conferences and hearings.
