About the Role
The Employee Relations Manager will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, fostering positive workplace relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies across Australia and New Zealand. You will be a strategic support partner, ensuring leaders receive high quality and compliant advice and support on a range of Employment Relations and industrial relations matters. You will partner with business leaders and the People business partner team to resolve complex and highly sensitive employee and industrial relations matters. You will be a collaborative team player with a strong people mindset and contribute to the delivery of initiatives intended to improve business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business leaders and People business partner team to support the timely identification and management of workplace relations matters,
Oversee and coordinate case management activities and support the resolution of Employment Relations and industrial matters, effectively and in line with legislative or regulatory requirements.
Management of highly complex cases, dispute resolution and negotiations with employee representatives such as Unions.
Represent Probe at Fair Work Commission and other regulatory bodies as required.
Work collaboratively with business leaders and people business partner team to build and embed greater capability and confidence in relation to employee relations best practice.
Provide clear and contemporary advice and support to business leaders on a broad variety of ER issues, equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary to address issues proactively..
Contribute & support the development and review of organisational policies, procedures/processes and documents.
Partner with all levels of the business to create sustained solutions to employee & industrial relations matters.
Lead employee agreement bargaining negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and foster positive relationships.
Monitor employee relations metrics and trends to proactively identify areas of concern and implement corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and improve organisational effectiveness.
Advocate the business value in effective workplace relations practices and leverage this value to influence change and improved outcomes.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations matters, ensuring confidentiality and data privacy compliance.
Key Skills and Attributes Required:
Proven experience in an Employment Relations Manager role
Extensive knowledge and understanding of employment and industrial relations.
Sound Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements contemporary human resource practices
Proven experience conducting investigations, case management and resolving complex employee relations issues.
Demonstrated high-level skills in interpreting and advising on complex workplace matters
Experience working with a range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
Detailed orientated with a focus on accuracy and compliance
Capability to apply discretion and sound judgement in managing sensitive matters and highly confidential or sensitive information
Relevant tertiary qualification preferable
