Essential Personnel has over 35 years’ experience of providing high quality employment and disability services across the Metropolitan and Wheatbelt area.
We are keen to recruit an Employment Support Coach who will bring skills and experiences, offering comprehensive support in discovering employment goals and building capacity with individuals who have NDIS Employment Support funding or School Leaver Employment Support funding.
A fundamental part of the role as Employment Support Coach will be supporting and mentoring customers to overcome their barriers and build capacity that assists them on their pathway to further education or employment.
This role will also have the opportunity to work with the DES (Disability Employment Service) team by supporting the customers achieving their goals.
Our ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Highly developed time management, organisational skills along with advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge and experience delivering creative, innovative, flexible and person-centred supports
- A professional and outcome-focused approach to supporting customers plans and build capacity to gain and maintain education and employment
- Working knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and the Disability Service Standards
- Ability to provide support services both over the phone and face to face, in the office or the community
- Demonstrated ability to meet compliance requirements and maintain professional boundaries regarding customer and family/carer expectations
- Experience working with disadvantaged people within the community who may have disabilities, are young, and/or may be people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Strong computer skills in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet, and database systems
- A current drivers licence (essential) and own insured transport
Desirables:
- Experience in the employment sector, youth work, disability or similar
- Certificate 3 in Community Services or similar
- Experience in DES/Workforce Australia
