Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 4 of EBA5 * 9-day fortnight
  • 72.5-hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine
About our opportunity
The End User Compute Officer plays a crucial role in managing end-user computing hardware and systems. The primary focus for this role is to provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems promptly and ensuring end-users have a positive experience with their computing devices and software.
In addition, you will
  • Respond and resolve request & incident tickets, and actively participate on telephone & onsite support.
  • Identify and diagnose hardware & operating system problems, known issues, and workarounds.
  • Perform on-site support to user by installing computers, hardware and assisting with related matters.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and relevant updates.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to coordinate repairs and maintenance.
About you
We are seeking someone with considerable technical knowledge and experience managing our organisation hardware, applications, and programs to ensure the needs of our organisation and end users are meet. Previous experience in a similar role and understanding of processes and systems will be an advantage along with a high level of customer services skills.
You will be a highly adaptable Officer who thrives in a fast-paced working environment, organised professional that has exceptional time management skills, able to manage conflicting priorities, and can quickly and efficiently investigate, diagnose, and provide resolution for our end users.
We need a team member who can quickly establish good working relationships, work within a positive team environment, and can confidently engage effectively with all levels of the business and with external stakeholders.
