The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Cardiac Catheter Suite)
to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Participate in the pre-admission of patients via telehealth and document as appropriate in all relevant IT systems within the department
- Have demonstrated experience with 12 Lead Electrocardiography (ECG) and arrhythmia management
- Be open to new experiences and able to work within complex environments
- Provide experience and management of pre and post procedural cardiac interventions
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrated experience as an Enrolled Nurse or at a minimum, 6 months graduate transition post registration
- Must hold a Board (NMBA) approved qualification in medication administration. Completion of 519HLTEN A, B or C or 007HLTEN (evidenced by transcript) will be highly regarded.
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $69,160 - $73,400 per annum
About Us
The Gold Coast University Hospital Cardiac Catheter Suites require an enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our dynamic department. The department works Monday to Friday with a 24-hour acute on-call service. We provide a range of structural heart interventions including TAVI, ASD and PFO closures. We complete complex EP procedures and are involved in a number of research trials. We also provide a pacing and defibrillation service, including complex Biventricular and HIS Bundle device insertions.
