Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse – Dunolly Nursing Home

Permanent Part Time or Full Time  – Up to Full Time  

Fixed Term - Part Time - 32 Hours per fortnight - Commencing 22nd May 2023 Until 7th April 2024

This is an exciting opportunity with the re-development of our new Maryborough Hospital for a motivated Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our team at Dunolly Nursing Home in either a permanent or fixed term position! Working in a small rural setting, our ideal applicant is passionate about aged care, demonstrates an ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team, with excellent communication, committed to Montesorri Model of Care, organisational and time management skills.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

• Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation and ACFI viewed favourably

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Enrolled Nurse

Qualifications / Experience

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Demonstration of an NMBA approved qualification in administration of medicines, with an Administration of Medication Scope of up to four/five routes (as applicable).

Specialist Expertise

• EEN who demonstrates commitment to professional development, maintaining a record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as per the AHPRA requirements.
• Demonstrates person-centred focus, adaptability, respecting diversity, innovative thinking, application of evidence into practice and self-management
• Demonstrates people and communication skills including relationship building, co-operation, conflict resolution, influencing others and facilitating open discussions.

Personal Qualities

• Awareness of limitations in own knowledge and seek appropriate education and training as required
• Awareness of own values and beliefs surrounding healthcare with an ability to identify and respect an alternative view

Registered Nurse

Qualifications/Experience:

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions. Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

Specialist Expertise

• Sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation
• Ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.

Personal Qualities

• Excellent organisational skills particularly with respect to time management
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and computer skills at the level required to fulfil the role.
