The Team:
Hospital in the Home (HITH) is an acute health program that provides specialised care to both adult and paediatric patients.
This home-based service provides comprehensive and holistic acute care to the residents of Sunraysia.
Residing within 25 kms of Mildura Base Public Hospital, patients must be clinically stable to ensure care can be provided in a safe and appropriate environment with carer support. HITH is able to provide negative wound therapy (VAC dressings), drain tubes care, intravenous antibiotics and anticoagulation therapy.
The Role:
A full time, fixed term (July 2024) position as a Registered Nurse within the vital Hospital in the Home (HITH) program.
To be successful in this role, the following is essential:
- Relevant registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
- Consolidated clinical experience & practice
- Ability to manage intravascular devices & IV cannulation skills
- Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the care delivery needs of the patient
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective communication with other health professionals
- Ability to think independently & use problem solving skills
- Current Drivers Licence
