Energy Analyst
Joining our team means you’ll be part of something that really matters. As our Energy Analyst, you will be based in Bentley and responsible for providing financial modelling and commercial analysis for business development opportunities, which create Enterprise Value (EV) and increases the gross margin for both NWIS and NIS customer segments.
The role will provide support to the Commercial Managers to:
Develop products and services for Horizon Power’s Large Enterprise (LE) customer segment as well as Independent Power Producer (IPP) project development.
Business case development.
Financial modelling and analysis.
Contract development.
Development of competitive pricing strategies not limited to new LE customer opportunities, including Expressions of Interest, Request for Proposals in the tender responses.
FINANCE AND PRICING
Responsible for providing financial modelling and commercial support for the Business Development team.
Develop and implement customer pricing and contracting strategies for LE customers which increases the EV and gross margin.
Manage competitive pricing requests for bespoke customers.
Provide business evaluations and advice to the Project Team (including options analysis and assessment) which proposes strategies and mechanisms to increase gross margin and EV.
Establish the account structure, monitor and report on project financials.
Assist in the review and compliance of pricing rules book.
CONTRACTS AND OTHER
Assist in Business Case development for submissions for various opportunities within Business Development and Strategy Division.
Assist in populating tender bid documents and proposals.
Assist in the preparation of financial and contractual documents for bid offers and proposals for potential customers.
Engagement with internal as well as external stakeholders to manage data models.
You will have:
Extensive knowledge and understanding of commercial documentation in the following areas:
High competency in Excel financial modelling, spreadsheet development and data analysis.
Knowledge of the energy sector and understanding of financial analysis in cost drivers and metrics.
Experience in tariff, pricing, accounting background or equivalent in the energy sector.
Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
Proven ability in providing financial advisory support for complex commercial contracts.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with key internal as well as external stakeholders / customers are imperative to this role and the success of the BD Team.
