About Us
The Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia) is a humanitarian organisation that provides birthing kits and education in clean birthing practices to women birthing in remote regions of the developing world. To date over 2.7 million Clean Birth Kits have been distributed to women in need. Kits are given to mothers through community outreach programs and supplied to health facilities for use by birth attendants. They are designed to support hygienic practices and environments during childbirth in under-resourced settings.
This Engagement and Marketing Co-Ordinator role is responsible for all media (including social media) messaging and communications for the organisation and reaching out to potential new supporters.
The Role
Reporting through to the Business and Operations Manager and the Engagement and Marketing Committee (EMC) your duties will include:
- Creating and optimising all social media ad campaigns utilising Facebook and Instagram.
- Developing web content, newsletters/EDMs and general promotional materials, including PowerPoint presentations.
- Develop new and innovative ideas for content and a strategy for effective implementation.
- Management of print and production, photographic and video collateral including image optimisation.
- In conjunction with the EMC to develop strategies in support of donor giving, community support, bequest, workplace giving, business partnerships and membership.
- Retain and acquire partnerships with the business community, sponsors and NGO partners.
About You
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with a high attention to detail.
- Strong social media communication skills.
- Possess strong expertise in creating presentations using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience in a similar organisations and using Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, to deliver on appropriate communications to relevant stakeholders.
- Experienced user of design software.
- Ability to work in conjunction with other staff, both autonomously and under direction.
What you will receive
- WFH based position with flexibility around start and finish times. Required to attend office at least once a fortnight for staff meetings. May be required to attend for other meetings but can be scheduled at a suitable time.
- 15 hours per week permanent with the option to do more work on an ad hoc basis depending on requirements.
- Late January 2024 commencement (subject to notice period).
