As a Fabricating apprentice you will:
- Examine and understand detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
- Cut, roll, shape, heat, or hammer metal products to produce parts.
- You will use hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines.
- Be trained in various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures.
- Add finishing touches to products in the form of cleaning, polishing, filing, and adding protective or decorative finishes.
You'll be learning practically. You'll be solving real problems on site and be working as part of a team or individually to fix them
