About this role:
Working within Queensland Rail’s Major Projects Integration team and specifically within the Tunnels and Stations Development part of Cross River Rail, the role will see you providing specialist engineering, technical advisory, design management and project coordination services and lead engineering subject matter experts to enable the design, construction, handover and acceptance of the Tunnels Stations and Development package of Cross River Rail. You can expect some of the responsibilities of the role to include:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, ensuring that Queensland Rail provides timely and pragmatic input to the close out of Design and Construction packages
- Ensure that all handover and acceptance plans, procedures and other documents from the contractor comply to Queensland Rail standards
- Anticipate and escalate potentially significant safety risks
- Support internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of rail infrastructure outcomes within an asset management framework
What you can bring to the role:
- Extensive knowledge of Engineering principles, standards and practices throughout the asset lifecycle
- High level of skill in dealing with railway transport operations, construction, maintenance and safety standards
- High level of leadership and management skills in delivering time-critical complex project issues
- High level of skill in meeting statutory, regulatory and policy obligations
- High level of influencing, interpersonal, communication and consultation skills
