Job DescriptionYour new opportunity:As an Engineering intern, you'll work closely with our growing Engineering & Technical Support Teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest and knowledge in diesel engines, transmissions, gensets and associated equipment. You'll work on various tasks, including 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks, designing parts and assemblies under supervision, detailing parts and providing part drawings.
In this role you will:- Provide support for 3D CAD models using Solidworks.
- Design parts and assemblies under the supervision of our Engineers.
- Detail parts and provide part drawings.
- Create parts lists and parts manual.
- Assist in prototype development, including testing.
- Support the testing and certification of vehicles.
- Contribute to project documentation and concept phase development.
- Provide project support and undertake other tasks as assigned by the Engineering & Technical Support Manager.
About you:- Competent in the use of MS Office (Word & Excel), Solidworks 3D modelling software, and Solidworks Simulation Software (basic).
- Strong interest and knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, gensets & associated equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret product information bulletins - Sales, Service & Parts.
- Ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to technical, application and other related issues.
- Effective time management skills and strong administrative ability.
