Engineering Manager

This company is a market leader in the meat industry and has a national footprint, while boasting state-of-the-art facilities and a focus on sustainability. They require an experienced Engineering Manager due to a structural change.

The purpose of this role is to provide strong leadership and strategic direction within the Senior Management Team, overseeing all engineering, continuous improvement, and maintenance operations for the plant. The role ensures that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and standards, supporting the Maintenance Manager and team, and to drive initiatives to optimize plant efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing long-range plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing capital projects, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental sustainability. The role is critical in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable plant operations.

To be successful in the position, you will have the following or similar:

• Engineering Degree or trades qualifications.
• Demonstrated capability in developing and managing significant capital and R&M budgets.
• Capability of leading and managing teams in delivering successful outcomes.
• Strong project management experience.
• Highly desirable lean manufacturing experience, Lean Six SIGMA Green/Black belt.
• Significant Food manufacturing experience.
