About the companyGovernment department responsible in improving the safety, health, well-being, and quality of life of people in Australia. Currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager - Renewable Energy to join their busy team for a 12-months temporary assignment.About the roleAs an Engineering Project Manager, you will provide specialist advice to ensure the department meets legislative and corporate obligations in relation to offshore electricity infrastructure licence administration. In addition, your key duties are as follow:
Provision of high-quality written advice on industry applications that relate to Offshore Electricity Infrastructure, including the granting of feasibility, commercial, research and demonstration and transmission and infrastructure licences.
Contribute to ongoing compliance activities in relation to licences and providing advice to the department and Minister in relation to any actions required.
Support other teams and the department in the ongoing operation and continuous improvement of regulatory regime practices and procedures.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders on regulatory matters within Government and industry.
About youTo be successful in this role, you must have:
Previous engineering and / or project management background in large-scale Renewable Energy development
Background in offshore wind industry will be highly regarded
Proven ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and identify issues relevant across all facets of project development and delivery.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work productively with stakeholders and within teams, including educating and developing staff.
History of providing leadership, or high-level contribution, on successful energy/ infrastructure projects.
Proven ability and experience in interpreting and applying legislation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing expert advice to decision makers.
Benefits

Flexible working arrangement
$75 - $100 per hour plus super
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
Immediate start pending clearances
Perth, WA location
