About the English Teacher position
The English Teacher position presents a unique opportunity to shape the literary minds of students from Year 7 to Year 11. Beginning in Term 2, this role offers the security and continuity of a permanent contract. As a key member of the school's academic team, you will be instrumental in delivering a diverse and engaging English curriculum, fostering a passion for language and literature among your students. You'll have the chance to implement innovative teaching methods, encourage critical thinking, and guide your students through pivotal stages of their educational journey, making a lasting impact on their academic and personal development.
Skills & Requirements:
- Exceptional knowledge of English literature and language, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner to students of varying abilities
- Proven experience in crafting and delivering engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning styles of students in Years 7 to 11
- Strong classroom management skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students, colleagues, and the school community
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational best practices and innovations in teaching English
- QCT registration or eligibility to obtain
- At least 2 references from your most recent employers
