Oakhill College is an Independent Catholic Secondary School conducted in the Lasallian tradition, with an enrolment of 2,200 students, boys Years 7 to 10, co-educational in Years 11 and 12. Oakhill College is located in Castle Hill, NSW, and offers a wide range of subject choices and extra-curricular activities.

English Teacher - Flexible Start DatePermanent Full -Time Position Flexible 2024 commencement
We offer flexibility in commencing employment, allowing for a Start Date at any point during the 2024 academic year.
Oakhill College seeks to appoint an innovative and skilled English teacher with excellent communication skills, knowledge of current developments in teaching and learning, and a passion and enthusiasm for teaching.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in the areas of: • Ability to teach English Stages 4-6; • Graduates are welcome to apply; • Planning and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies; • Assessing, providing feedback, and reporting on student learning; • Developing teaching programs and assessments across all stages preferred but not essential; • Working collaboratively in an English Faculty; • Ability to implement new syllabi; • Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment; • Using effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated approaches and a variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes; • Effectively managing student behaviour and maintaining an educational environment that promotes learning.

Vaccination means two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. A valid medical contraindication must be in accordance with ATAGI guidelines.
