Entry-Level Warehouse Officer / Freight Officer

Centurion in Perth is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our OSR operations team as entry-level or experienced Warehouse/Freight Officers on a full-time working basis. You will be responsible for ensuring all freight is checked and entered in an accurately and timely manner. Whether you're just starting your career or have prior experience in warehousing, transport and logistics, we have opportunities for you to grow and excel in a dynamic work environment. As a Freight Officer, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, working closely with our experienced team members.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Processing of general freight from beginning to end
• Opening freight and checking contents against the clients order, in particular, ensuring correct quantity and type of items have been received
• Ensuring correct labelling of goods, including identification and labelling of dangerous goods
• Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight to go to the correct destination
• Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured/packed correctly for dispatch
• Data entry of received freight into the clients preferred computerised system

Requirements of the role

• Previous experience in a fast-paced operational environment or warehouse
• High attention to detail and accurate data entry
• Good reliability and punctuality at work
• Capacity to lift and carry heavy objects
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Computer literacy and previous SAP experience (preferred)
• Ability to take direction from management
• Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and processes
