Permanent Opportunity for Purchasing Officer - Work from home 3 days a week
Situated in their head office in Perth Eastern suburbs, you will also be offered the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week.
Working in a small, collaborative and supporting team, your duties will include:
- Procure goods and services at the best possible price.
- Regularly review and expedite orders, including the follow-up of credits, to ensure timely delivery and facilitate timely payment of invoices.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and end-users.
- Continuously review suppliers to identify cost savings and ensure the company is procuring the best available value.
- Assist and support all users with queries on parts catalogue, purchase orders and procurement system.
- Support resolution of purchase order issues, queries and discrepancies.
- Ensure that internal warehouse stock holdings are considered before placing orders with suppliers.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar capacity procurement or administration role.
- Positive outlook with an ability to meet strict deadlines and deal with various levels of staff.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Solid understanding of supply chain functions.
- Previous experience with ERP purchasing, inventory and costing systems is preferred.
The salary on offer is around $85,000 + super but it could go higher for the right person.
