The City is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage inventory levels, store and yard operations, achieve targeted outcomes and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
This position will support the City by:
• Undertake timely sourcing, purchasing and reordering of stock items for the Store along with non-stock items requested for projects within delegated authority.
• Ensuring all purchasing is compliant with relevant Acts and Regulations as well as City policies and procedures.
• Through instruction of the Storeperson/Yardperson and establishing work practices, undertake physical checks of inventory in order to maintain accurate stock records. Including investigation of discrepancies/adjustment of stock levels, creation of stock numbers for new inventory and performing stocktake of all goods and materials on location.
• Organising, planning and coordinating day to day activities of the Depot store and yard.
• Ensuring accurate recording of stock movements, including liaising with stakeholders, developing and reviewing procedures and contracts, and resolving operational and administrative issues.
