The Role
The successful applicant will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for environmental compliance across our processing plant and mining operations.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and environmental commitments
- Prepare regulatory reports and information for the applicable government departments in accordance with required time frames
- Assist with obtaining regulatory approvals in a timely manner to avoid any disruptions to business
- Providing management and our workforce with timely and accurate advice on environmental matters and environmental awareness training material
- Assist with the management and execution of the Murrin Murrin water monitoring program
- Supporting the execution of the Environmental Management System and Plan
About You
This role would suit a passionate Environmental Advisor looking to expand their knowledge and impact change within our complex mining operation. You will also have:
- Tertiary qualification/s in environmental science or related discipline
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to the mining industry
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations applicable to mining operations in Western Australia and environmental management systems
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of written reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems
- Current & valid manual "C" class drivers licence
