We are looking for a HSE Field Advisor who thrives on fostering connections within both our organisation and the broader community. The HSE Field Advisor is predominantly a field-based role and is accountable for providing ElectraNet with HSE advice, including projects and maintenance activities.
In this role, you will:
- Skilfully manage and respond to the intricate and multifaceted aspects of field activities, ensuring that our environmental and safety practices are not only in place but also effective and well-managed;
- Champion and actively participate in the implementation of comprehensive environmental and safety assessments and audit programs that apply to our internal processes and external partnerships, ensuring that our operations align with responsible practices;
- Engage and build meaningful relationships with various stakeholders to guarantee ElectraNet's commitment to environmental sustainability, legal compliance and effective safety and environmental management plans.
The HSE Field Advisor role primarily involves fieldwork and requires someone with exceptional time management and organisation skills as you will plan your weeks to align to both your personal/family life, as well the project timelines. As the ideal candidate, this position will empower you to exercise independent professional judgment and exert significant influence, ultimately keeping you feeling fulfilled and proud that you're making a difference.
About YouTo be successful in securing this position you will;
- Tertiary Qualification in any one of the following Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Sustainability, Occupational Health and Safety (essential)
- Demonstrate your expertise in conducting HSE assessments, audits, analyses, and investigations, showcasing your proficiency in field-based monitoring techniques
- Exhibit the ability to manage a diverse range of tasks and adapt to shifting priorities, all while embodying a positive and flexible approach
- Display an in-depth understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, ensuring our practices are not only compliant but also environmentally conscious
- Have experience working in remote areas with unique environmental challenges (desirable)
