Environmental Health Coordinator

City of Mount Gambier has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join the Corporate and Regulatory Services portfolio. 
 

About the position:
• Full-time permanent. 
o Full-time employees will work an 80-hour fortnight and are paid 76 hours to accrue four (4) hours towards an RDO.

The Environmental Health Coordinator is required to operate as a specialist professional with specific knowledge and expertise relating to Environmental Health. The position is required to provide high-quality professional advice to internal and external customers and ensure Council’s legislative requirements are met.   
The Environmental Health Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the Environmental Health Officer. 
 

This position is classified at Level 7 Year 1 to Level 7 Year 3 (currently $115,445.98 - $122,346.29 per annum) of the City of Mount Gambier Administration Staff Agreement No.12 2022.
 

About you:
• Currently undertaking or completed a tertiary qualification in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or other relevant qualification.
• Eligibility for membership of the peak professional body Environmental Health Australia.
• A high level of professional skills, knowledge and judgement, with a customer service focus.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in accordance with the organisation’s approved training plan.
• Ability to effectively contribute as a team member within the Corporate and Regulatory Services portfolio.
