Based in Dalby, you will be involved in all aspects of Environmental Health including food safety management, complaint resolution, public health initiatives and environmental protection.
Reporting to the Environmental Health Coordinator, you will:
- Conducting routine inspections, including routine compliance inspections, and inspections resulting from customer requests, and follow-up inspections. This includes the undertaking of compliance and enforcement activities, as well as using effective negotiating skills to resolve problems prior to undertaking compliance actions.
- Providing advice and instructions to our customers to assist with the resolution of customer requests, or to provide directives for non-compliance with legislative requirements
- Undertaking of regulated parking patrols.
About you
The successful applicant will have:
- A relevant qualification in Environmental Health or demonstrated experience;
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and liaise with the public; and
- Excellent organisational skills and will enjoy working in a diverse, complex environment.
