In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Officer - Avionics. This role will supports the BDA Air Combat and Electronic Attack Sustainment Program Team, who are introducing the latest aircraft spiral upgrade program and provide ongoing sustainment support for the existing fleet. A significant number of advanced capabilities and upgrades are being introduced in the coming years across the platforms, and you will be heavily involved in delivering them.

This role is based at RAAF Amberley.
As a Senior Technical Officer - Avionics you will:
- Undertake engineering related activities to support sustainment and capability upgrades.
- Support and engage in aircraft modification development.
- Support and engage in operational testing of new capabilities.
- Manage platform service release activities.
- Work as a senior member within the team, guiding and mentoring junior members.
- Work towards gaining Engineering Delegations.
- Support the team with Avionics related tasking pertaining to Continuing Airworthiness Management (Part M) activities including assessing engineering changes and engineering investigations.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Extensive experience in aircraft avionics systems, operational systems and aviation engineering processes and/or other related engineering experience.
- Demonstrate well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a multi-discipline team.
