The Opportunity:

We have immediate permanent and fixed-term vacancies for Environmental Officers and Senior Environmental Officers to work on a variety of interesting and exciting state significant and major projects that would inform recommendations and advice by the Environment Protection Authority.

We are currently on the lookout for individuals with a strong commitment to climate action and sustainable development, who would embrace the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, responsible for assessment of projects such as critical, rare and precious minerals to allow the transition to a low carbon economy, while ensuring the ongoing protection of the State’s unique biodiversity. 

We are looking to establish a pool of suitable skilled applicants to fill immediate and future vacancies for Environmental Officers at Specified Callings Levels 2, and Senior Environmental Officers at Specified Calling Level 3, (see attached requirements matrix for further information on capabilities).

This pool will operate for a period of 12 months with vacancies being offered at part or full time on a permanent or fixed term contract basis with the possibility of extension or permanency. Pool applicants do not hold a right of review against appointment decisions made from the pool.
