We are currently growing our Perth office and are looking to appoint a motivated and exceptional individual to join our team in the role of Environmental Scientist. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environment, enthusiasm for delivering high quality work and an interest in growth and long-term outlook within the company.

About the Role
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Scientist to elevate their career in a unique and forward-thinking company.
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of environmental investigation and monitoring programs, as well as in environmental planning and design projects. The key technical focus areas of this position are expected to be: water treatment, stormwater and groundwater management, land and water remediation, and some contaminated land and Acid Sulfate Soil management.
Key Project Roles
- Undertake field work including preparation, mobilisation, and sampling (soil, groundwater and surface water sampling).
- Developing Sampling, Analysis and Quality Plans.
- Collecting, compiling field and laboratory data and data entry and management as well as field data logging.
- Assisting with interpretation and presentation/reporting on the environmental data.
- Developing and refining templates (reports, field documents).
- Assisting with reporting and preparation of project presentations.
- Assisting with preparation of project proposals.
- Implementing project management tools to ensure your tasks are on time and on budget.
- Undertaking internal (office and field), and external technical and safety training.
About You
You are passionate about technical work, organised, self-motivated and flexible. You have a positive work attitude, have good communication skills and are proactive in working with other team members. You are keen to learn and acquire skills and knowledge across broad environmental science spheres.
You must have the legal rights to work in Australia.
To be successful for this role you’ll need
- A degree in environmental science, natural resource management or similar.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with environmental monitoring, data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to do physical fieldwork (sampling) and travel within WA, interstate and internationally.
- Strong analytical, reporting and verbal communication skills.
- A client service focus with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Excellent self-organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer literacy skills with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs especially Excel.
- Advanced skills with GIS software.
- Valid/current WA driver’s license.

- Good working knowledge of relevant environmental standards and guidelines.
- Knowledge of WHS practices, procedures and protocols.
- Competency with statistical packages.
- Fast and independent learner.
