About the Role:

Davies Stewart are partnering with their client team at a leading technical consulting firm, who are dedicated to environmental solutions.

As the Environmental Services Supervisor, you will assume leadership of our Landfill Services Division, overseeing operations in Melbourne and Victoria, Australia. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a background in either trade (plumbing/gas fitting) or engineering, coupled with extensive expertise in landfill gas management, leachate management, power generation, landfill gas flares, and a proven track record in landfill services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working on the efficient delivery of projects, maintaining key relationships with clients and responsibility for overall team performance out on site.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage the Landfill Services Division, ensuring efficient operations, planning, scheduling, and costing.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing representative, responsible for delivering proposals and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and environmental standards across operations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize operational efficiency and maximize profitability.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, identifying opportunities for business growth and operational enhancement.
  • Deliver projects to the highest quality and standards.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Trade Certificate, or Environmental Science.
  • Proven experience in landfill services, with a comprehensive understanding of landfill gas, leachate management, and power generation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset, capable of working seamlessly in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving priorities.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant regulations and environmental standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
