It's an exciting time to be a part of the Fortescue family and we are looking for an experienced Senior Communications professional to join our team to drive effective and engaging Health and Safety campaigns and initiatives.
With a focus on delivering creative and compelling communications across a broad range of channels, you will be responsible for building clarity around and commitment to the actions and behaviours that underpin mining industry best practice for health, safety and wellbeing.
This role will be dynamic and diverse, covering writing, design, content creation and development of innovative digital channels to support overall business objectives.
It will suit communications professionals with the ability to strategically and creatively influence strong safety outcomes in line with our unique culture and Values.
The position is offered as a one-year contract with extension based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with leadership teams as a trusted advisor, developing messaging to manage complex and/or sensitive issues
- Project manage Health and Safety engagement campaigns in line with business objectives
- Develop engaging proactive content across a variety of platforms
- Evaluate impact of communications channels and messages to achieve real and measurable engagement
- Ensure all content is underpinned by our Values and produced in line with global communications, brand and market disclosure guidelines
- A strong background in communications covering a variety of mediums
- A bachelor's degree in communications or related discipline/field such as public relations, digital communications or journalism is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of tailoring communications content for various channels and audiences
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Understanding of mining operations and green energy industries is ideal
