What you will be doingThe position we are looking for, is for a
Senior Middleware specialist with experience in the implementation and support of a range of Middleware technologies including IBM MQ, EAServer, WebLogic, WebCenter, Tuxedo and JBOSS to work on the implementation of new financial systems and the support of applications for Australian clients. In addition to working on projects to implement new Middleware solutions the successful candidate will be someone looking to learn, grow and administer a number of Middleware Technologies to support a variety of non-production and production Middleware environments using DevOps best practices.What will keep you busyThis role will be required to work directly with DXC Clients (internal and external) and collaborate with internal DXC Service Provider Groups to provide high quality Middleware support and administration. Typical tasks include:
- Design and implementation of Middleware solutions to meet client requirements (this includes implementing new applications and upgrading currently supported Middleware products).
- Support the Middleware application code and support other systems and code that integrate to this Middleware environment including: Authentication Services, Session Management, Bundle Management, Token Management
- Implementing DevOps solutions to automate the administration, management and monitoring of production and test environments.
- Liaising with Clients and other Service Provider Groups
- Standard Incident, Problem, Change Management. System Monitoring and alerting.
- Monitoring of Systems, deployment of Applications, Configuration of Middleware
- Installation of applications/middleware (Clustering), upgrades of Middleware components
- Troubleshooting and performance tuning of Middleware components
- Technical Documentation
- On-call roster rotation availability
The skills you will bringThe Ideal candidate will have over 3 years ICT commercial experience and expertise in at least 2 of the following middleware products with a proven track record on implementing a solution in at least one of them:
- IBM MQ
- JBOSS EAP version 7
- Tuxedo Versions 8 to 12
- Oracle WebLogic 11R and 12c+
- Oracle WebCenter
- EAServer 6.3
Expertise in the following Programming languages and Operating Systems
- UNIX Shell/Perl Scripting
- Python / Jython scripting including WLST for WebLogic
- Linux, Unix, Windows OS commercial experience
- PowerShell
Knowledge of the following is advantageous:
- Oracle Middleware Fusion
- BizTalk
- WebSphere MQ
- WebSphere Application Server
- ITIL
- Java and / or C Programming experience
- AppDynamics, Elastic Stack, Git and ansible
