EOI - Structural Engineers - Various Levels

KBR have exciting opportunities becoming available supporting Defence, Water and Transport projects during 2024 and we are looking for new team members to join our Perth Structural Engineering team.
Structural Engineering Opportunities Available:
Ideal candidates will have experience in designing and delivering structural infrastructure and building projects and a keen interest in mentoring junior engineers while maintaining a positive team culture.
All levels will require successful incumbents to liaise with Project Managers and Clients to provide regular updates and prepare technically sound and well-written designs, proposals and reports. A strong technical ability is important, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with Clients through project delivery.
We place a strong emphasis on collaboration, both within our local office and KBR nationally. As such, you will likely work with interstate colleagues to deliver engineering projects.KBR has all the benefits of a global organization with a local company feel.
What you will need to succeed:
All Levels
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural)
- Confidently conduct structural analysis and design using industry-standard software and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks;
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with reinforced concrete, steel, and timber design preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
Structural Engineer Candidates:
- Be on the pathway to obtaining Chartered Engineer/Chartered Professional Engineer/RPEQ Previous consulting/design/technical experience in the buildings or infrastructure field as a structural engineer (minimum 2, preferably 3-7 years).
- Developing a level of competence in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications
- Developing level of competence in delivering work according to budget, schedule and quality requirements
- Ability to liaise with peers, subordinates and clients
Senior Structural Engineer Candidates:
- Registration as a Chartered Engineer/Chartered Professional Engineer/RPEQ (or the ability to become so within 6 months)
- Ideally extensive structural engineering experience ideally within an engineering consultancy environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills; and proven experience of developing relationships with a variety of people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
- Assist in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Prior experience and a passion to develop junior team members.
