As and experienced lead you will have 10+ years of experience delivering Civil, Mechanical and Electrical estimates in the utilities sector.
You will be able to demonstrate experience across all areas of Estimation, procurement, supply chain management, benchmarking, subcontract evaluation and gap analysis, multidiscipline coordination and first principle estimate production. Experience in producing estimates utilising estimation software such as Expert Estimator. In addition, demonstrated experience in dealing with design team and interpreting design documentations. This role leads a team of estimators responsible for managing existing program of works and winning new works.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and own the CRM
- Manage the opportunity from the YES/NO gate to final submission
- Coordinate and collaborate with functional partners in developing proposals and submissions.
- Develop WBS, RFQ, pricing on a range of water projects including pump stations and treatment plants projects using first principle estimates and open market quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop and manage procurement schedules and plans during the tender stage
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing and carry out gap analysis and benchmarking
- Manage multiple tenders at any one time.
- Review of contract documents including scope of works, specifications, Addendum, etc at tender stage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supply chain.
- Analyse, evaluate and interpret a range of complex and technical documents, including relevant regulatory, legislative, and licensing requirements, codes and standards, plans, drawings and specifications, invitations to tender, contracts and procurement reports, and bills of quantities
- Risk management and safe construction techniques when developing construction methodologies and programs with construction team.
