As the Product – Business Development Manager, you'll be instrumental in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, driving engagement and strengthening relationships with our valued existing clients, understanding their evolving needs and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
Working closely with our passionate sales, account management, marketing, product, and partner teams, you'll immerse yourself in our products and industry landscape, both locally in Australia and on a global scale. With one fantastic product already making waves in the market and several more in the pipeline, all geared towards enhancing utility data and operational efficiencies for utility protection, there's never been a better time to join us on our exhilarating journey to be an industry leader! The role is full-time from Monday to Friday, with the occasional requirement to attend afterhours client functions and events.

• You will be instrumental in leading in-depth product discussions with existing and prospective customers while helping to continually test, build, and execute against our go-to-market strategy,
• You are an adept salesperson, capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organisation, including operations teams, CEO, CFO, and CTO,
• You are used to building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on complex products that require deep product understanding, combined with technical knowledge,
• You are equally comfortable working with external clients as with internal stakeholders (including executives),
• You’re excited to become an expert and to share your knowledge,
• You’re an organised self-starter, an excellent communicator who is highly analytical.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
• Champion and drive adoption of our software products to both existing customers and new prospects in targeted segments,
• Test market positioning and appropriate selling motion for all new software products at Utility Mapping,
• Develop and continually refine Go To Market playbook by working closely with Strategy, Operations and Marketing teams,
• Proactively provide feedback to Product team to identify upselling opportunities and shape our development roadmap and commercial priorities,
• Work closely with technical teams to gather essential information and ensure proposals align with client requirements and our capabilities,
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create impactful campaigns to increase brand awareness and attract potential clients.
• 3-5 years of account management or sales experience at a Technology company, driving adoption and sales for software products,
• Strong knowledge and understanding of spatial data products,
• Ability to drive the entire sales cycle in collaboration with existing account management teams,
• Evidence of working cross functionally across multiple stakeholders to drive product or solution adoption,
• The ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment,
• A proven ability to be a self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision,
• Strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders,
• Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements,
• Ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple stakeholders,
• Excited about working in a hands on scale up environment.
