We are looking for an experienced Estimator - Civil Infrastructure to join our team and be part of a fast-growing business, in a busy and successful project delivery environment.
About the Role
The successful person will have 5-6 years of experience in Civil Infrastructure projects and have the opportunity to join a dynamic team where they can be part of shaping the future of Civil Infrastructure Projects! Key Responsibilities include:
- Accurately estimating project costs for Civil Infrastructure works, including bridges, road works, excavation, and piling projects.
- Analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Evaluating subcontractor’s quotes.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Evaluating material and labour costs, equipment requirements, and subcontractor bids.
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation of cost estimates for review and approval.
- Preparing tender programs & methodologies.
- Completing tender schedules for proposal submissions.
About You
This role would suit a well organised person, with strong interpersonal skills, looking to be part of an experienced and high performing team, with a collaborative culture.
You ideally would have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5-6 years of experience in estimating for Civil Infrastructure projects, with a focus on bridges, road works, excavation, and piling. Projects of scale $1-$5M.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
