Eilbeck is seeking to employ an Estimator / Project Manager in our Machine Shop, to join the team at our Ingleburn Factory.
Duties will include analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labour estimates for tenders through to the manufacture and management of successfully delivery of the winning projects, this all done by performing the following duties.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews customers RFQ’s, drawings and specifications for fit with company.
- Generates accurate estimates of time and costs to build component parts and assemblies. Recommend general manufacturing process – focused on fabrication, machining, mechanical assemblies.
- Preparing and managing job documentation (ITP’s, QC docs).
- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Project Manage the manufacture and delivery of projects. This inclusive of preparing QC docs, procuring all products i.e. steel, bearings, fasteners etc, assisting with supervising the projects through the workshop and discussing/assisting with workshop personnel.
- Preparing workshop drawing and models where required.
- Presentation and sale of tenders to clients with the required follow up attitude in order to generate relationships and sales with the customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Should understand manufacturing process, material and specifications.
- Intimate knowledge of fabrication and CNC machining processes
- General knowledge of steel processing and manufacturing methods, i.e. profiling, plasma, forging, casting etc.
- Familiarity with material properties of metals carbon steels, SS, bronze, etc.
- Knowledge of different types of general mechanical equipment
- Very strong communication skills.
- Great organizational skills.
- Previous experience as Estimator / Project Manager within manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in use of computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
- Beneficial to hold a bachelor of mechanical engineering.
- Beneficial to have trade experience
- Excellent client communication, prioritise work flow, being punctual, attention to detail, persistence and have integrity
