Their client list comprises a “who’s who” of Australian business and is a testament to their success with this approach. Banks, insurance companies, upmarket bars and clubs make up part of their diverse client base.
Unsurprisingly, they are currently experiencing a planned growth phase. They are seeking a highly competent person for the role of Estimator in their Lower North shore based team.
Role
The role can be on a fulltime employed basis or on contract basis with own ABN.
The role reports to the Director and carries responsibility is to conduct the company’s Estimating function on predominantly commercial projects based in Sydney. These projects value in range from $100,000 to $10 million at the upper end and involve fitouts, refurbishments and other construction jobs, particularly in the hospitality and corporate sectors.
Within that broad brief, specific tasks include:
- Pricing projects and negotiating contracts.
- Providing input to on-site teams, as well as assisting in contractor coordination and contract issues.
- Developing relationships with contractors with the objective of adding potential contractors to the company’s contractor base.
Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess at least three years’ experience in construction, refurbishment and fitout work and hold Cert IV in Building and Construction (Estimating) or equivalent.
The company is equally happy to consider applications from recently graduated candidates with some experience who are keen to advance their career with mentoring, to more senior people with trade qualifications, followed by extensive estimating experience, who are able to operate with a high degree of autonomy. Remuneration is flexible to accommodate both situations.
Either way, you must have the capability of effectively handling multiple tenders simultaneously and be able to work overtime when the situation demands.

Remuneration
Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
