Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling & estimating activities within our internal building division. A key focus will be on working alongside the Construction Manager to ensure jobs are delivered with accuracy and in a timely manner. It will also include building capacity within the business, developing and improving systems and processes as we continue to grow.
The successful individual will have a wide range of responsibilities which will include:
- Full quantity take offs & issuing purchase orders
- Obtain quotes from subcontractors & suppliers
- Assist with procurement and supplier liaison
- Process in construction variations
- Department tracking
- Approve and process invoices
- Providing on-site scheduling support to the Construction Manager
- Assist Operations Manager with specified tasks
About You
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar role within the residential construction industry, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. You will be a highly motivated, versatile and efficient operator that enjoys being part of a supportive team and culture. Key skills & requirements will include:
- 1-2 year’s experience in a similar role within the residential construction sector
- Ability to read all architectural drawings, structural engineering, addenda’s and specifications
- MYOB or other purchasing experience would be advantageous
- Strong foundation of knowledge and skills in residential construction
- Commitment to delivering a high standard of safety in the workplace
- Exceptional time management and ability to achieve targets
